RDA Coleraine acknowledges the generous support of the people of Coleraine & District, and grants from SportNI, Coleraine Borough Council and DSD Modernisation Fund towards the CAPITAL costs associated with our new facilities.  

However, for general day to day operations RDA Coleraine - apart from a small 'Youth Club' Grant from the North Eastern Education & Library Board, receives no other income for Revenue spending, and depends on Donations and Fund-raising events - such funding is much harder to procure, and we need your help urgently. Allowing other users to benefit from our facility brings in some funding in the form of an appropriate donation, and additional fundraising in support of RDA Coleraine. This will alleviate payment of our operating costs, but we still need ongoing support from our traditional backers. We can confirm categorically that no donation income is ever used to fund 'non disabled' activities.

Now RDA HQ estimates that, taking all factors into account, each ride costs £14.70 - and we provide over 2500 rides per year. 

We are pleased to report that donations and fundraising have covered all expenditure at RDA Coleraine since its inception in 1975  - up to something like £2000 per month in recent years. We greatly appreciate the support received from the public and other clubs - it is our policy to provide our riding service at no cost to people with a disability - despite pressure from Accountants & Auditors to secure a 'guaranteed income'. We intend to maintain such a policy for as long as possible - and despite fact that many mainland RDA groups now charge for the service provided.
